Grover and Indy

Ken, and All the Wonderful Folks at BVLR - We have had our 02' Discovery II that we purchased from BVLR for a little over two and a half months now and enjoy it greatly. Every day I am impressed by the performance and quality in a Land Rover. I have owned other four wheel drive vehicles and other luxury vehicles, but none having a combination of the two, in one vehicle with such high standards of each. I look forward to dealing with BVLR on our next Rover too. With the summer winding down and the kids getting back to school my wife and I are getting caught up on things that we have had to prioritize in getting done and sending you a picture of our rovers in our rover has been one of them that fell a bit down on the list but please find the attached photo with this e-mail. Pictured in our Rover are our 2 Dalmatians. Grover on the left and Indy on the right. Our dals are both "rescue dogs"... not to say they rescue anyone, but both were dogs that we have acquired saving them from adverse circumstances. Grover was abandoned near our home out in the orange groves here in central Florida, hence his name Grover. He was left along side a blacktop road near our house with a half a sack of dog food and a half a box of doggie biscuits. As irresponsible as I feel his previous owners were, someone had spent a great deal of time in training him. He is very well mannered and has been a wonderful addition to our household. Indy was a puppy that we rescued from a "back yard breeder" in a small town in Indiana. Naturally we call her Indy. She is a very special Dalmatian in that Indy has grey spots. Actually her color is called blue by the folks of the dog world. Since she is an AKC registered dal it was also a point in finding the appropriate registered name also. Her registered name is "Ivygate's Indigo Girl. Since the AKC standards only recognize two colors for Dalmatians, black or liver, she had to be registered as black. As you can see in contrast to Grover, a true black spotted dal, she definitely has grey spots. She's really a novelty at Kennel Club meetings and dog shows. Lila and Lucky

Ken, Thanks for the 2004 Discovery SE7! Our rescued American Bulldog mixes, Lila (the white dog up front) and Lucky (black guy in the back seat), have been looking forward to getting their new ride. Everyone at BVLR was great to work with and the vehicle is immaculate... At least now it is, from now on Lila and Lucky plan on keeping it decked out with nose prints and drool spots. Thanks again! Hey Ken, I've dropped by your shop a few times in the last few months. I was hell-bent on a 03-04 Disco, but noticed the value in the 01-02 RRs. Came in last Tuesday to drive(and buy) the Green 02 RR, but Ken had just sold it. I'm on a mission to find an '02 RR- Epsom Green w Lightstone Interior. I'd consider an '01 if the interior is fresh. I am impressed with the quality of the LRs and RRs you buy, and hope you can find me one. Can you help? My Portuguese Water Dog, Isabella, is pressing me hard for a new ride, and to get her pic on your site! - Brandon W.

Hi, My husband and I bought a LR discovery from you last may and we love it. Here is our dog, Bear, he too is a land rover fan, he keeps beating the drum for a range rover though, he is so high maintenance. Gwen and Kurt and Bear .

Dear Ken, Dogs Rule!! I'm Hannah (the well groomed, trim black and white cocker) with my sloppy sister, Maggie (as usual, her tongue is hanging out) and here we are sitting in Mommy's new 2004 Land Rover Discovery HSE! We will let her drive it once in a while (but we know it is really our car). Thanks for keeping her out of that DODGE and taking away her Chevy Tahoe in trade! We know she has wanted a Land Rover for a long time. She is very happy which means we get lots of treats and kisses! Thank you, Hannah and Maggie!

I bought my 2000 Disco from you guys in September, 2001 and I still LOVE it! Anyway, I finally got a GREAT photograph of my 3 dogs (West Highland White Terriers) on the back of my Disco (with the BVLR spare tire cover of course). I thought you might like to post this on your website on the "Rovers and their Rovers" section. The puppies are Maggie on the left, Sam on Top of the spare tire and Brooke on the right.

Hey Ken - I purchased a 2001 Black Discovery from you guys a couple of years ago and it has been a fantastic truck! My boy Roman (1 ½ year old Bullmastiff) is a big fan of the Land Rover and when he’s not riding along inside slobbering up the windows, he keeps a careful eye on the truck when it’s parked. When we were in your showroom we had the good fortune to see the puppies (well they were puppies then). I have been wanting to send you this picture of my four-legged rover, Buka, for a long time now. He just had his 13th birthday and still has the demeanor of a 5 year old (he is a Dalmatian/Lab mix). Long rides in the Rover with all of the windows down and the sunroofs open is number 1 on his list of favorites. Here is a picture I took while we were giving the Rover a bath - he likes to spend as much time as he can in it - even when it is not moving. He is a very special dog and he knows it (although I don't really think he thinks he is a dog - just one of us).- The Grohs - Pensacola, FL

A quick note of thanks for the fantastic and friendly service I received in buying my 2004 SE7 Discovery II. You were always quick with answers and quick with a response when I contacted you. In addition, Chris did a great job at leading me through my large areas of ignorance in Rover knowledge! From educating me to rapidly taking care of the financing and paperwork, you and your staff were always warm and friendly, ready to help with whatever I asked, and considering the eight hour round trip to make it to the showroom, that was much appreciated. I've recommended you to everyone who's complimented me on the new truck. Good luck and thanks again. Enclosed is a photo of our two dogs, Barney and Toby. They're still adapting to jumping in the back as opposed to the backseat, but they'll make do!
