What a relief! Although I didn't see anything I wanted that day, I did tell you what I was looking for and you actually took the time to converse with me via phone when you had something I was interested in. Although I called and emailed several times, no once did I not receive a call or email back. What other dealer would respond to every message or call they received? None! You made me feel like I was your only client and that proves to me that this is the reason that you and your team are so successful at what you do. I know I was overly picky, and to be honest, I still can't believe that y'all found such a perfect vehicle. Thank you so much for your patience. For a couple of years now, I've been following your webpage and contemplating contacting you. However, despite all the testimonials on your website, I had my misgivings about purchasing a used Land Rover from an out of town dealership (particularly "sight unseen"). Well, now I'm a believer. I have owned or leased numerous Land Rovers and can tell you that this is the most flawless new or used Land Rover that I've ever had. Heck, it doesn't even leak oil!!! To say that I'm enjoying my 2000 Kent Green Range Rover is an understatement. I literally look forward to running errands - it's like I just got my driver's license all over again. ""Dear BVLR I notice your “It’s a about your family’s safety” picture on the home page and completely agree with you. You will probably notice my profession…this note is nothing to do with professional endorsement…it’s more personal than that. I purchased a Landrover Discovery from you back in January 2004 and have been extremely happy with it. It is a great looking vehicle, a really nice ride and I always knew it was a “safe” car. Unfortunately, the safety factor was very much put to the test a week ago…I was traveling to Clemson SC from Augusta and was hit head on by a car that swerved onto my side of the road. No sooner had we seen the vehicle swerve did our airbags activate…it was that quick. We were forced off the road and rolled several times down an embankment landing on our side. I had my family in the car, couldn’t open any door, so I crawled out of the window and opened the trunk. My wife and 3 girls walked out of the vehicle without a scratch. It was a pure miracle. The Landrover is totaled and our (good) condition amazed every emergency person who attended the scene. I am truly thankful to God and Landrover for this miracle. I hope to never repeat this study, however it proved the superior safety factor of Landrover. SO, in a couple of weeks I will be coming to visit y’all and will be looking for a replacement Discovery. I will also be looking for an LR3 for my wife, time her mini-van was retired…!!! " "

""Ken, and All the Wonderful Folks at BVLR - We have had our 02' Discovery II that we purchased from BVLR for a little over two and a half months now and enjoy it greatly. Every day I am impressed by the performance and quality in a Land Rover. I have owned other four wheel drive vehicles and other luxury vehicles, but none having a combination of the two, in one vehicle with such high standards of each. I look forward to dealing with BVLR on our next Rover too. With the summer winding down and the kids getting back to school my wife and I are getting caught up on things that we have had to prioritize in getting done and sending you a picture of our rovers in our rover has been one of them that fell a bit down on the list but please find the attached photo with this e-mail. Pictured in our Rover are our 2 Dalmatians. Grover on the left and Indy on the right. Our dals are both "rescue dogs"... not to say they rescue anyone, but both were dogs that we have acquired saving them from adverse circumstances. Grover was abandoned near our home out in the orange groves here in central Florida, hence his name Grover. He was left along side a blacktop road near our house with a half a sack of dog food and a half a box of doggie biscuits. As irresponsible as I feel his previous owners were, someone had spent a great deal of time in training him. He is very well mannered and has been a wonderful addition to our household. Indy was a puppy that we rescued from a "back yard breeder" in a small town in Indiana. Naturally we call her Indy. She is a very special Dalmatian in that Indy has grey spots. Actually her color is called blue by the folks of the dog world. Since she is an AKC registered dal it was also a point in finding the appropriate registered name also. Her registered name is "Ivygate's Indigo Girl. Since the AKC standards only recognize two colors for Dalmatians, black or liver, she had to be registered as black. As you can see in contrast to Grover, a true black spotted dal, she definitely has grey spots. She's really a novelty at Kennel Club meetings and dog shows. ""Greetings to Everyone - Just a short note to let you know what a pleasure it has been doing business with you. Fay and I were on pins and needles until the '97 Disco arrived and we began to prove our point with all of our negative friends. Our mechanic (he has taken care of all of our vehicles since we moved to Charlotte eight - or is that nine - years ago) is skeptic #1. However, he inspected the previous LR's found in Charlotte and we turned them all down based on his advice. BUT, he didn't get any input into the final purchase. Since he bought my truck and he will be doing all the work on our remaining vehicles including the '97 Disco, he moderated his stance. Even with the glitch last Saturday - it was a clip in the gear shift knob - he has come over to the positive side. We must tell you though, that an 85 year old former Land Rover owner (he no longer drives) came out and said, "Waldo, I've gotta take a look at this vehicle." After he looked it over real good, he jumped into the driver's seat and looked straight in my eye as he offered this quote, "Waldo, it appears to me that the Gods of Good Fortune have indeed bestowed a blessing upon you and Fay." And that's how we feel. It has been a great addition to our lives. Since I drive about 25 miles - one way - to work and Fay drives about 3 miles to work, needless to say, it is her daily ride. HOWEVER, I do get it on weekends and we'll be taking part of our vacation in it on a "land Cruise" through West Virginia! So, to sum it up: Thanks so very much for being in the business of "helping" people buy Land Rover vehicles. (Nobody likes to be sold!) It's unbelievable how far above the competition you find yourselves. Thanks to the whole team, you are all stars.""

""I've been reading over the comments on your site and there are many great comments about satisfaction of purchase, your knowledgeable sales staff, and the ease in which the sale is made. All that is true of course, however I have something to add from a woman's point of view. You probably don't realize how nice it is to come onto a car lot and be treated seriously, and I appreciate you and your staff doing so. You wouldn't believe how many times a sales person looks at my husband while talking mileage and looks at me while talking about the location of the cup holder. In 1998 when we bought our '96 Discovery, I was pleasantly surprised at the conversation/advice Ken and Bill provided my husband and myself that helped us make our final decision. Now, 7 years later and with a couple kids in the mix, we needed something else and only had eyes for the Range Rover. We dealt with Chris this time. His knowledge was apparent from the beginning and his manner was just as courteous as what we have come to expect from BVLR. Thank you for a fair, straight forward car buying experience. ""I read about you in an in-flight magazine on an AirTran flight from Raleigh to Houston (through Atlanta). I have to admit I have always fancied a Land Rover but always felt that I could never afford one. And my favorite would be the Defender which I found is no longer made in the states because Landrover wouldn't install an airbag (or so I was told by a local sales associate). Is there anyway you could let me know what the Defender sells for? And how available they are? Sorry to read about the lawsuit. That sounds completely asinine. ""Mr. Ford - I have read with great interest your lawsuit (in full) filed against Bear Valley Land Rover Vehicle Sales, Inc. as well as the letter threatening legal action due to the opening of a second location of BVLR. I purchased my 97 Disco from Bear Valley in 2000 after a referral to them by a long-time customer. I didn't make an appointment to see their Rovers but showed up at almost closing. I told them I really wanted a Disco. They first told me what I already knew -- that they sold "gently used" Land Rovers and were NOT a franchise dealer; then they showed me around and told me to take my time looking. It was a wonderful NO PRESSURE experience. I looked at all the Discos in stock. And then I saw her - it was love at first sight. But she now has just over 100,000 miles and some wear on her. I have pondered all year trading my girl in and buying a NEW Disco. I want to personally thank you for helping me reach a decision. Lady Dawg will not be leaving my side! I visit Bear Valley maybe twice a year when I take Lady Dawg in for "check-ups". It's a great experience each time - they never make any repairs without fully discussing it with me (including cost), they know my name, they have my Disco ready when they said it would be ready, and they help me keep costs down by looking for used parts when that is a viable alternative. In sum - they provide EXCELLENT SERVICE. Is that what scares the big boys at Ford - it should! If you are worred about "unfair competition" - keep worrying! Until Ford can reach the level of service that Bear Valley offers, Ford will always be in little Bear Valley's shadow And just for the record, in my presence, they HAVE NEVER referred to their business as a franchise LR dealer. FORD SHOULD BE SO LUCKY. If I ever trade in my girl it will be for a pre-2000 model. Know why? Because March 17, 2000 was a sad day in Rover history. I will NEVER again own any product associated with Ford. I grew up in a Ford family and I do wonder how you can sleep at night - the company sold my family a Rambler station wagon (that one lasted one whole year before my mother pushed it in the creek when it wouldn't crank for the 360th morning of the year), two Pinto station wagons (dad thought surely the first piece of junk was just a fluke), a LTD ( apparently stood for Let's Try to keep the Damn thing running!), and my personal favourite - a Tempo (I did get to visit a lot of small towns in the south though when it broke down constantly starting at about 20,000 miles). We are now anything but a Ford please family. Mother drives a Buick and says "best car I've ever owned, my brother is on his second Saturn (also owns a 66 Rover), his wife owns a Chevrolet product. I'm considering a second car purchase of a convertable in the next two years - rest assured it will be anything that Ford doesn't own. For the record, I am head of the accounting department for the second-largest tax preparation firm in the nation (not H & R Block but the next company). We have over 1200 offices in 30 states. I'm sharing the Bear Valley lawsuit information with my friends and co-workers in those 1200+ offices. And guess what? I checked with our attorneys at Lord, Bissell and Brook and LEGALLY I can share anything I like through my personal e-mail with my friends. I am so proud of Bear Valley's success. I knew they were good. Ford's fear of this little company in Roswell, Georgia illustrates just how damn good they are! On our drive back to Florida we did between 75 and 80 with air and cruise, we got 18 miles per gallon. This made me very happy as gas mileage was a big concern for me. "My name is Susan and I live up north in Des Moines, Iowa. I just have to write and tell you that your website is fabulous! I am just beginning to search for a Land Rover, and we do have a local dealership here in Des Moines. Unfortunately, they don't have a good inventory of used Rovers, and the salesman that I spoke to when visiting the dealership seemed to know less about the vehicle than me! It was disappointing at best. The tougher part of the battle, is that I am married to a "gear-head" husband who possesses excellent knowledge about German vehicles (we've owned mostly Audi and BMW, and he's an avid BMW motorcycle rider) BUT he's not at all familiar with Land Rover. This will be my vehicle, so ultimately it's my choice, but I was so hoping to find a salesman that could help my husband understand what makes this SUV so special. John (my husband) loves to have "technical discussions" with the experts, and that's what sells him. I couldn't even take him back to the dealership here because I knew it just wouldn't fly. Needless to say, I was very impressed with every inch of your website. Yes, I think I have read every tidbit! The clencher, of course, is that we, along with the many others, are dog people. I sat at my desk with big tears rolling down my face when reading about your beautiful dogs Cocoa and Bleu. We are the parents of a 10 year old Dalmation who's name is Holly, or just "Hollydog" as her friends call her. As a puppy, she was left with her litter mates by some uncaring owner in a farm field to die. From the day she landed in our home, she was the center of our universe, and still is! We would certainly make the trip all the way to Georgia to visit you and your dealership (Holly too!). Although we do like to support local business here, we ultimately go where we find people that we love to work with, and receive what we think is great service. I know we haven't met, but I think you deserve the feedback on the effectiveness of your website. If we're willing to drive all the way from Iowa, knowing we'll get what we're after, I think you've hit the nail on the head! Now that I've written half a book, I'll stop and tell you what I'm looking for - a 2003 Discovery II SE, not sure about the exterior color (except no blue), and only like the interior in grey or black. I do like the silver/black that is on your website currently. We're not sure of the time frame just yet, but I think we'll be ready in the spring? We'll have to work on the coordination of the trip.
